Colour Creations Gray Granite

In Good Taste DSP Gray Granite Blog Hop Stampin' Up Card

Hello again Stampin' friends!

Tonight we are going to showcase Gray Granite, a lovely pinky gray colour! I made this card for my daughter's friend who is having a birthday in December - got in early!

As you may have seen in this blog, I have used quite a lot of the In Good Taste DSP, which I love, but which has left me with a lot of off-cuts!

What better way to use those off-cuts than in an abstract card layout that is easy and fun! This card will be perfect particularly for a male.

I made a Whisper White card base 15cm x 14.85cm (A4 cut to 15 cm lenthways and then folded in half). I then cut a Gray Granite matt to 14.5cm x 14.35cm and embossed with Old World Paper 3D embossing folder.

I then layered a few rectangles of DSP off-cuts in a way I tbought looked good. I made two banners out of strips of the DSP and the Banner Punch. I die-cut Happy Birthday in Gray Granite cardstock with the Well Written dies.

I adhered it all together using Multi-purpose Liquid Glue.

My finished card made me feel very satisified - not only did I use up scraps of my favourite DSP, I made a quick and easy card!

Head on over to Cathy's blog to catch up with the rest of the team!

I calligraphed inside the card using my oblique pen and the Brause Steno ("Blue Pumpkin") nib with black Sumi ink. I even tried my hand at some Envelope Art!

I hope Brenton likes his special birthday card (and envelope)!
