February Blog Hop - Masculine Cards

Welcome to another Creative Showcase with the Art With Heart Team.

This month we are featuring Masculine themed projects. We have many masculine themed products in the Stampin’ Up! range including Stamp Sets and coordinating Dies, Designer Series Papers, Embellishments and Embossing Folders. Art With Heart Team have a wonderful selection of projects to inspire you to create Masculine Masterpieces

I would like to show you how to make a simple masculine card by carefully picking your colour palette.

The traditional masculine colours of blues and browns work well here.

For my first card I got some inspiration from UK Stampin' Up Demonstrator Helzie Slimm from slimmandstylish.com. For my version of her card I have used a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper and washed it with a little splash of Pool Party and Crumb Cake. Then I stamped it with the palm trees from the Timeless Tropical stamp set. For the "grass" I used the top of the pineapple stamp. I chose the Rest and Relax sentiment for my card and then matted the final image on some black cardstock. I adhered the card front to a Soft Suede card base.and was done in a jiffy!

And now for another "masculine" colour combination - good ol' black and gold! I love the Golden Honey DSP with it's bold designs in these colours. The DSP is a Sale-a-bration item that can be earned with any purchase of AUD90. And it teams beautifully with the Honey Bee stamp set and matching dies. These are available as the Honey Bee bundle - when purchased together you save 10%!

I spent an afternoon making these cards to give to friends and family. I made a set of three or four cards which I leave blank for the recipient's personal use as a loving gift from me.

Honey Bee Stampin' Up Black Gold Cards

These cards, I believe, are versatile enough to use as masculine cards. To purchase the Honey Bee Project Collection and qualify for the DSP before March 31st, 2020, click here.
